Did you know Australia is about the same size as the United States? According to their National Park and Wildlife Service, "scientists estimate the continent is home to more than a million species of plants and animals."
The bushfires ravaging Australia these past few months have had devastating consequences. In addition to the human toll, an estimated 480 million animals have been displaced, burned, or killed.
